European quality label for international mobility

For the second time, the Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences (HNU) has been awarded the European "E-Quality" seal of quality for the successful promotion of international mobility of its students and lecturers. This makes it one of 12 German universities to be awarded the seal in 2012 by the National Agency for the EU ERASMUS programme of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). HNU had already received the "E-Quality" seal for the first time in 2008.

Independent experts evaluated criteria such as innovation, results and benefits, quality in the implementation and management of mobility measures and their sustainability. Here, HNU was able to convince with a holistic concept: English-language courses in the focal areas of International Business Administration, International Management & Leadership and International Logistics, partnerships with numerous universities in other European countries, mutual recognition of examinations, and a study programme with a double degree and doctoral programme.

The success factors also include language courses, intercultural training and comprehensive consulting and support: "The international exchange opportunities are being used very well. Our students, lecturers and staff can now gain experience abroad at 33 European partner universities," says Christian Renner, former head of the International Office.
