Study space
The quiet ambience and a well-equipped IT infrastructure distinguish the library as a modern study space. The access is barrier-free.

Seats in the reading room
There are learning stations available in the reading room. At each seat you will find sockets and reading lamps. You can use it without reservation.
Carrels
Students can work in six carrels. A reservation sheet is on the carrel for the current month.
Group rooms
Learning compartments
Up to four people can work quietly together in each of the five learning compartments. There is no seat reservation.
The monitor can be used for screen sharing. The connection is made via the HDMI cable, further adapters are available at the service desk.
Teaching room
This room holds up to 25 persons and is used for our workshops. When there are no workshops, you are welcome to use it as a study space.
Research stations
In the library entrance hall, you can use one of four catalogue interfaces for searching the library catalogue and one of six computers for searching databases and additional sources.
Caddies
We provide you with 12 rentable caddies. You can use them to keep your working material within the reading room for several weeks.

Technical equipment
We provide you with little helpers, e. g. headphones, USB sticks or computer mouses with integrated scan functionality. You can also borrow various cables and adapters.

Copier/printer
You can copy, print and scan at a multi-purpose device if you enter your HNU computer credentials.
On campus, you can send print jobs via Follow-Me and fetch them at any Follow-Me network printer by scanning your Campus Card or entering your HNU computer credentials. There is one device in the library copy room and another device in the blue stairway in front of the library (ground floor). Book scanner
You can use our high performance scanners without any login, scan large texts in a short amount of time and save them onto your USB stick. One device is located in the copy room and there is another one next to the journal section at the beginning of the reading room.

Children's reading corner
Our reading corner is meant for children and for adults. There are books and audio CDs on economic sciences, engineering, media and health. All media can be borrowed for four weeks and can be reneweed three times.
