20.10.2023, Press Release :

Performance and social commitment pay off: 27 bachelor's and master's students at Neu-Ulm University (HNU) were awarded the Deutschlandstipendium. At the handover ceremony on October 19, scholarship recipients and representatives of 25 sponsoring companies from the region came together in the Vöhlinschloss Illertissen.

"We received over 100 applications. I am very pleased to be able to recognize your exceptional achievements with the Deutschlandstipendium. You can be proud of yourself!" said Prof. Dr. Erik Rederer in his welcoming speech. After a champagne reception, he handed over the scholarships, whose funding period runs from September 2023 to the end of August 2024. With music by Jo! Loop, a one-man band, the scholarship recipients and company representatives ended the evening with a relaxed exchange of ideas.

The program supports high-achieving and socially engaged students of all nationalities from bachelor's and master's degree programs, regardless of income. Each scholarship is jointly funded by private sponsors and the state and amounts to 300 euros per month. In addition to financial and non-material support, the Deutschlandstipendium offers space for exchange between recipients and sponsors.
