Alles Gute zum Geburtstag @ HNU-Founders Space

19.10.2023, Press Release :

The HNU Founders Space is celebrating its two-year anniversary - and has every reason to celebrate: Since its opening in October 2021, more than 200 productive founders have benefited from its diverse offerings. Currently, 50 creative minds are working on their projects in the Founders Space, and many more are guests at networking events and workshops.

With 200 partners, founders and supporters, Founders Space celebrated its anniversary at the beginning of October. After the welcome by Prof. Dr. Thomas Bayer, head of Founders Space, and his deputy Martin Schwarz, the highlights of the past two years were looked back on. With culinary catering by Pacifico Foodtruck and music by DJ jakenotgreat, there was the opportunity for casual networking and exchange.

To create an innovative space for ideas, start-up projects and an exchange at eye level that is open to all those interested in founding - that was the goal of Founders Space at its opening. And it has succeeded: Highlights include offerings such as startup consultations, coaching sessions, founder talks, startup dinners and workshops. Following the motto "No idea is too outlandish," the Founders Space staff continuously support all HNU students, alumni and employees interested in starting a business, as well as their external cooperation partners and co-founders.

"If a space like Founders Space didn't exist, it would have to be invented".

"These two years have flown by!" summed up Prof. Thomas Bayer. "In the meantime, Founders Space has established itself as a central meeting place for innovative projects in the city, the region and even beyond. With our co-working facilities, we not only offer the perfect working environment, but also the ideal framework for exchange and networking. Our numerous offerings and events also help companies like Unbound Camper, OSORA, Workonio and Earth-Y win over competitions and investors."

"If a space like Founders Space didn't exist, you'd have to invent it," said Neu-Ulm Mayor Katrin Albsteiger. "In this short time, they have achieved more than can be expected from a center for innovative start-up ideas. Over the course of the two years, some startups from Founders Space have proven particularly successful and have attracted a lot of attention beyond the region. The various events regularly attract start-ups and investors both from the region and beyond to HNU and Founders Space. Cooperations with regional companies and organizations strengthen the innovative power and create synergies that radiate far beyond the borders of Neu-Ulm. I would therefore like to thank the founders and especially Prof. Dr. Thomas Bayer and his team."

The Founders Space is part of the StartUpLab@FH project at Neu-Ulm University and is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) as part of the "Research at Universities of Applied Sciences" program (measure "StartUpLab@FH", funding code 13 FH021SU8).
