Startup from HNU Founders Space becomes partner of BITE GmbH

28.09.2023, Press Release :

At the startup event StartupSÜD Summit at Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences (HNU), the startup Workonio and the established Ulm-based company BITE hit it off: The two companies from the recruiting sector found each other that day. A success story from the transfer area of HNU and Biberach University of Applied Sciences (HBC).

It's a Match

350 guests attended the StartupSÜD Summit in May 2023 - among them the companies Workonio and BITE, which got to know each other and immediately recognized potential for cooperation. Thus, StartupSÜD's plan to bring together entrepreneurs with startups, business angels and other players in the region's startup ecosystem at this startup event was a complete success. The two companies have formed a close strategic partnership with the aim of developing innovative solutions in the HR sector. Due to their different focus areas, they complement each other perfectly: Workonio focuses on the B2B sector, while BITE operates in the B2C sector.

Companies x Temporary employment agencies

The startup Workonio offers a software solution that digitizes the collaboration between companies and temporary employment agencies and enables fast and smooth cooperation. In future developments, Workonio plans to expand its software to include a marketplace where companies can announce their short-term staffing needs and form new partnerships. Four founders are behind Workonio: HNU graduate Julian Buntz, HBC student Nils Galler, Dustin Braun and Matteo Koch.

"We are extremely happy about this promising partnership!" says Nils Galler. "A big thank you goes to the HNU Founders Space team and the StartupSÜD staff. Especially in our early days, we benefited greatly from the numerous consulting and event offers. We look forward to the future together with BITE!"

Holistic applicant management

The software company BITE, which has been in existence since 2008, has developed a web-based, fully customizable and accessible applicant management software and supports companies throughout the entire recruiting process - from search and applicant management to the selection of suitable applicants.

"This strategic partnership is a 'match made in heaven'!", says Stefan Häck, Managing Director of BITE GmbH. Managing Director Hubert Ketterer added: "We are pleased to be able to implement our goal of continuously making the HR industry more efficient and effective together with Workonio."

A strategic partnership also exists between Neu-Ulm University and BITE GmbH. Cooperation activities with this and other strategic partners in the areas of teaching and further education, knowledge and technology transfer and research are intended to advance the innovative strength in the region in an even more targeted manner in the future, as well as serving to secure skilled workers and expand international competitiveness.
