After the virtual handover ceremonies in 2020 and 2021, a ceremonial handover in presence was possible again this year: 36 HNU students were awarded the Deutschlandstipendium in the Vöhlinschloss in Illertissen, which supports high-achieving and committed students of all nationalities from bachelor's and master's degree programs regardless of income. One scholarship amounts to 300 euros per month. The scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of their performance at school and in their studies as well as their social commitment.
The scholarships were presented after a champagne reception by Prof. Dr. Julia Kormann, Vice President of the University, and Prof. Dr. Erik Rederer. Afterwards, musician Jo! Loop provided the appropriate background music during the dinner with his live looping performance - an improvised interlude involving the audience. The guests spent a long time talking together as the evening drew to a close.
25 companies from the region support the scholarship holders
The awarding of the scholarships was supported this year by the Friends of HNU and 25 companies from the region. Many have been supporting outstanding students for several years.
