The application phase runs from 1 March to 31 May 2021.

The German 3D Printing Challenge is aimed at 3D printing enthusiasts who create a 3D printed product on their own and can present a business plan showing how the product (or a corresponding service) can earn or save money. People of all ages can apply, either as individual participants or in teams of up to three people; a degree is not a prerequisite.

The application period started on 1 March and runs until 31 May 2021. The jury, consisting of the President of Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences (HNU), Prof. Dr. Uta M. Feser, as well as representatives of the cooperating companies and prize donors, will select the best applicants, who will have until the end of July 2021 to prepare a business plan.
