In order to enable you to continue your studies or professional activity after the birth of a child as well as possible, we have put together some helpful information for you, set up services and organised pragmatic support.
Compendium Study with Child
In the compendium "Studieren mit Kind" (opens in a new window)we have compiled the most important legal regulations concerning studying with a child for you. HNU employees will also find a lot of information about maternity leave, parental leave, child benefit and much more.
Family-friendly infrastructure
Studying or working with children on the HNU campus should be as easy as possible for you: For this purpose we have, for example, set up a parent-child office, purchased high chairs for the canteen, created a children's reading corner in the library and much more. Vacation Semester
Students with children can take exams during a semester of leave (first and repeat attempts) and thus delay their studies. Analogous to the regulations in professional life, you are entitled to a total of 6 semesters of leave due to the upbringing of your children. You can find all further information here:

Kinderinsel Neu-Ulm - 3 large day care centres under one roof
So that the continuation of your studies or the resumption of your own professional activity is not protracted by waiting for a place in a day care centre, HNU set up 3 large day care centres in 2009 where you can have your children looked after!
Welcome pack for newborn HNU children
With the HNU Welcome Package, BIZEPS would like to congratulate you on your offspring! The handovers are especially nice when the package can be handed over personally. However, if you are not at HNU for a longer period of time, this is no problem - we will be happy to send you the package. Please inform BIZEPS when you have become a father/mother so that we can hand over or send you the welcome package!
