HNU becomes regional center in the KI-Transfer Plus program

16.02.2024, Press Release :

Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences (HNU) is to become a regional center for the KI-Transfer Plus program, which is funded by the Bavarian State Ministry for Digital Affairs. The aim of the project is to bring artificial intelligence to SMEs. Companies can apply to participate online at www.ki-transfer-plus.de.

KI-Transfer Plus is aimed specifically at small and medium-sized companies that have little experience in dealing with artificial intelligence. Within nine months, company representatives are to become AI users. The companies are supported by HNU's two Technology Transfer Centers (TTZ) in Leipheim (Smart Production and Logistics) and Günzburg (Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence).

The contents of the program are the targeted development of technical, strategic and general knowledge on artificial intelligence, the development of an AI strategy and support in the development of a company's own AI application. There is the opportunity to get to know existing AI tools and adapt them for your own company or to train an AI system yourself.

Since the start of the program in 2021, 15 companies have already been successfully supported in the introduction of AI. KI-Transfer Plus is coordinated and designed by appliedAI Initiative GmbH, Europe's largest initiative for the application of trustworthy AI technology. An overview of the use cases and further information on the program can be found at www.ki-transfer-plus.de (opens in a new window).
