The Institute for Entrepreneurship (IfE) at Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences (HNU) has been renamed with immediate effect: The extension as "Institute for Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Sustainability" was decided by the university management on November 7.

This decision marks a significant development in the mission and research focus of the institute. The IfE, also known in German as the "Institut für Entrepreneurship, Innovation und Nachhaltigkeit", will now be expanded both in terms of its content and its name to include the key research areas of innovation and sustainability.
The institute was founded in spring 2020 under the name "Institute for Entrepreneurship" at Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences and is the result of the work of Prof. Dr. Daniel Schallmo and Prof. Dr. Jens Pätzmann. Since October 2023, the management of the institute has been supplemented by Prof. Dr. Jens Kolb, who contributes expertise in the field of sustainability.
The IfE remains a practice-oriented research institute and continues to be committed to effectively transferring research results to companies and institutions. The focus is on national and international networking in order to develop and promote innovative solutions for the pressing challenges of our time.
The renaming of the institute to "Institute for Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Sustainability" underlines Neu-Ulm University's commitment to future-oriented research and development in the fields of entrepreneurship, innovation and sustainability.
