Experience Report of Diana Sanchez Riera from Chile

Read here the experience report of Diana Sanchez Riera, who was a guest at Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences for 4 weeks in autumn 2023 for a research stay.  Diana is a PhD student at the Universidad de Chile, in Santiago de Chile.

Her trip and her stay were funded by our "International Startup League" project.

Diana's Report about her Experience:

"My experience during my doctoral research stay at the University of Applied Sciences Neu-Ulm (HNU) has been incredibly enriching. As a recipient of the ISUL scholarship, I have had the unique opportunity to collaborate with research associate Stephanie Jordan and other talented professors and doctoral candidates. Together, we have formed a research group focused on big data and promotional marketing.

We initiated our collaboration on a comparative research paper that includes data from Chile, South Africa, and Germany. We have subsequently outlined our research agenda and will continue with our weekly virtual meetings. Furthermore, we are planning to present our progress at several conferences in Europe in 2024.

This international collaboration excites me not only for its academic scope but also for the personal growth and learning experiences it has offered. I have also had the privilege of attending classes on "Digital Transformation and Entrepreneurship" taught by Professor Dr. Daniel Schallmo, which has provided valuable insights into HNU's teaching methodology and the opportunity to interact with graduate students from diverse cultures.

Additionally, I participated in the "International Founders Talk," an initiative that brings together experts and professionals to discuss entrepreneurship, expanding my understanding of global business.

It is my desire to continue contributing to the ISUL network and to sustain existing connections and promote new future collaborations.

As this chapter approaches its conclusion, I know that the connections and friendships I have forged here will transcend physical borders."
