For what reasons did you decide to study at HNU?
In addition to exciting degree programmes, HNU offers many opportunities to gain experience and knowledge in a corporate context during your studies. This gives you a direct insight into working life after graduation. This is very important to me personally, as I already worked during my studies and was thus able to apply my theoretical knowledge directly.

What tips would you give to students in your degree programme?
Don't be afraid of criticism: ask people openly for feedback. And another tip: Choose projects that take place in cooperation with companies. This way you can already start to build up a network.

Exhausting or child's play: What did your internship semester look like and what tasks did you take on?
Even during my studies, I kept my eyes and ears open to find a suitable position for the practical semester. I came across Lemonize through a lecturer. I applied on my own initiative and have been working at the agency since my internship semester. In addition to classic marketing tasks, I was allowed to set up and manage Lemonize's social media channels. I was also given the responsibility to independently implement and present design tasks for well-known clients. The motto "encourage and challenge" has helped me to develop not only my hard skills but also my soft skills. I have learned to use the knowledge I acquired at HNU in a targeted manner, to take responsibility and to approach new tasks creatively.

What is your advice to all graduates who are looking for their first job?
Xing and LinkedIn offer great job opportunities. In addition, you can make the first contact directly here. A well-maintained profile is the be-all and end-all. Often, companies from past practical projects also offer a great start to your professional life. Advantage here: You already have direct contact with contacts and can easily send a speculative application.

Please describe your everyday working life. Which projects do you work on and which tasks do you particularly appreciate?
I currently work as a marketing lead for Lemonize. I mainly take care of the coordination and planning of the marketing activities. I also look after the company's social media channels. My day-to-day work and my tasks are varied. I particularly appreciate the open contact and transparency - and that within the whole agency. There is always an open ear for new ideas and suggestions. In addition, I learn new things every day through the agile and interdisciplinary cooperation between IT, marketing and UX design. That is a great added value for me.

How would you complete the following sentence?
HNU...
"has shown me the building blocks I need for my professional life."
