HNU compass

With our "HNU Compass", you as a prospective student can find out which competences you already possess in various forms. It also shows you how our individual (Bachelor's) degree programmes will help you develop your skills for your future professional life.

It is not about showing you which degree programme is most suitable for you. Rather, the aim is to show you which practice-relevant competences you will acquire through our degree programmes and their content, and how these competences will be fostered during your studies.

How does the "HNU Compass" work?

You will need about 10 - 15 minutes, but no other aids.

You will receive statements on the various fields of competence. On a scale of 1 to 12 you will assess your own abilities: To what extent does this statement apply to me personally? To what extent does it apply to me personally?

If the described behaviour is, for example, "clearly" pronounced in you, select it on the scale shown. Your selection is coloured blue on the scale. A description of the selected value is also displayed above the scale, as shown here:

If the one presented applies to you to such an extent that you would judge this to be excessive, choose the value at the top end of the scale.

We have coloured this value reddish, since the value is disproportionately high in this case. So only select this value if you think of yourself that the statement is a little more true than you would like:
