Straight or via detours: What was your school/university career like and what interests did you have as a younger person?
Definitely diversions. After graduating from secondary school, I decided to train as an industrial clerk. After I completed this training, I wanted to catch up on my "Abitur" at the "BOS". I passed my "Fachabitur" and decided to study mechanical engineering, which I did not pass. However, I have now successfully completed the seven semesters of Information Management and Corporate Communications (BA) :) My interests have changed only slightly; from playing computer games to being in nature. But of course I still like to play now and then.

Effortful or child's play: What did your internship semester look like and what tasks did you take on?
The practical semester was really exhausting and I really worked a lot. However, the effort wasn't really a burden because I had enjoyed and still enjoy the work and the tasks in the company extremely much. For example, I was allowed to completely redesign the website and already supported the customer service with classic online marketing agency tasks during the practical semester.

What is your advice to all graduates who are looking for their first job?
If you haven't yet created a small network during your studies - via the internship semester or other jobs - through which you can find a job, my advice is to think roughly about the direction you want to go in and then look for jobs there. And also possibly accept a job that is not 100% THE dream job. Many people fall by the wayside in their search for THE dream job and tend not to find one. Because the truth is: even in your dream job, there are tasks that you don't like to do. So it's better to gain a lot of experience and develop towards your dream job bit by bit.

Which experiences from your studies at HNU have proven valuable in your professional life?
The IT subjects in particular have helped me a lot. At work, I have a lot to do with HTML, CSS and SQL. But also the self-organisation that you are taught in your studies helps me today to structure myself better as a team leader in marketing and thus also my team.

How would you complete the following sentence?
HNU...
"...was a place where I always felt comfortable."
