For what reasons did you decide to study at HNU?
I decided to study at HNU because the interdisciplinary areas appealed to me. The international orientation of the HNU also appealed to me. I really enjoyed the variety of topics within the IMUK degree programme. 🚀

What tips can you give young people who are looking for the right degree programme?
HNU offers many exciting and sometimes unique degree programmes. No matter which degree programme you ultimately choose - choose the degree programme that also fits your own personal strengths and interests. Then you will also have fun and achieve your goals! In addition, the Neu-Ulm/Ulm region is very economically strong. You can already benefit from this as a student and immerse yourself in the professional world at an early stage. Accompanying the degree programmes, you can find internships, working student positions and thesis positions, among other things. The practical experience you gain during your studies is crucial for your CV. Moreover, these experiences are motivating and thus form an optimal and qualified basis for later career entry.

Exhausting or child's play: What did your internship semester look like and what tasks did you take on?
I really enjoyed my internship semester in human resources. Of course it's a change - but finally being able to apply your knowledge was incredibly motivating. I gained insights into the processes and procedures of a company that I would not have had without the opportunity of the practical semester/internship. Getting to know many different (specialist) areas and being allowed to try things out is very exciting. Ultimately, it also helped me study for the exams because I was able to combine theory and practice. I also made a lot of friends and found a job in the same company after graduation.

Semester abroad: In which country were you and what did you experience during this time?
I spent my semester abroad in Indonesia. I had a wonderful time and made many international contacts. I learned a new language and had the opportunity to take other courses at the university. At the same time, I immersed myself in another culture and took part in life there in a very authentic way.

What is your advice to all graduates who are looking for their first job?
Stay authentic, have fun and always do your best!

Which experiences from your studies at HNU have proven valuable in your professional life?
Above all, all experiences that had a direct practical relevance. For me, this includes above all technical tools and products that you had to deal with in depth during your studies.

How would you complete the following sentence beginning?
HNU... "is a modern university that creates future prospects for students and allows for creativity."
