DAAD Prize

Once a year, the HNU awards the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) prize to outstanding international students. The DAAD prize, worth 1,000 euros,  honors both outstanding academic achievements and remarkable social and societal commitment. The prize is intended to contribute to giving international students at German universities a visible face (more information about the DAAD prize (opens in a new window)).

DAAD award ceremony: Vice President Prof. Dr. Elmar Steurer with Sadika Madzharova, the 2023 award winner

Prof. Dr. Elmar Steurer, Vice President for Research and Internationalisation, presented the prestigious prize of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) to Sadika Madzharova for her outstanding academic achievements and commitment. The award ceremony 2023 took place as part of the International Fair at the HNU.

Award Winner 2021: Jiao Hu

Prof. Dr. Julia Kormann, Vice President for Teaching and Learning, and Prof. Dr. Elmar Steurer, Vice President for Internationalisation, presented Jiao Hu with the award of the German Academic Exchange Service. Due to the Corona pandemic, the award ceremony 2021 took place virtually.
