Straightforward or via detours: What was your school career like and what interests did you have as a younger person?
My path to university took a small, but in retrospect nevertheless sensible diversions. I did an apprenticeship as a pharmaceutical assistant - but realised very quickly that this profession is not for eternity. However, I was attracted to the industry and so, after completing my training, I looked for a way to combine the world of pharmaceuticals and my interest in business and thus became aware of the degree programme in Business Administration in the Healthcare Sector.

For what reasons did you decide to study at HNU?
Studying at HNU offered me the interface to the healthcare sector in which I wanted to specialise. I was also very interested in the human resources focus - which I liked so much that I ended up in the field of human resources.

What experiences during your studies have had a particular impact on you?
I really appreciated the fact that we had very good contact with other students and also with the lecturers because of the smaller groups. I still have contacts with the university and am always in contact when it comes to "practical topics". Very often, HNU students also apply to us - which always makes me very happy :)

What tips would you give to students in your degree programme?
My tip is to gain as much practical experience as possible during your studies. Not only in the practical semester, but also as a student trainee or in the context of a practice-oriented thesis. In this way, you can find out what you enjoy, which activities suit you and what is important to you for your working life and gain some professional experience along the way.

What was your first job like and how did you become interested in it?
During my studies, I supported the Human Resources department as a student trainee at Uhlmann Pac-Systeme in Laupheim and was lucky enough to be able to write my final thesis here and start my professional life right afterwards. Today, I am a Junior HR Business Partner responsible for the "Young Talents" area and I love my job very much.

What is your advice to all graduates who are looking for their first job?
You should think about exactly what you want and be able to describe it well. Mass applications do not stand out from the crowd and especially as a graduate it is important to put your strengths and talents in the foreground. If you can already score points for practical experience, all the better... :)

Please describe your everyday working life. Which projects do you work on and which tasks do you particularly appreciate?
In my day-to-day work, I deal with the "young talents", i.e. apprentices, students and trainees at Uhlmann. I accompany them from the moment they join the company until they leave. I am particularly pleased when a young talent starts their professional life with us after completing their studies. Many of my colleagues studied at HNU and some of them joined us during their studies and stayed on. What I particularly appreciate about Uhlmann is that as a young person you have the opportunity to contribute and develop your talents; you really have a lot of room for further development and are given a lot of responsibility.

What are your professional goals for the future?
I would like to continue to grow in my tasks and look forward to getting to know and accompanying many exciting talents.

How would you complete the following sentence?
HNU...
"was the foundation stone for my career!"
