At the end of June 2022, some people from Neu-Ulm also set off for Berlin to learn about the latest trend developments in the health industry. A chance meeting resulted with valuable exchanges between HNU members Prof. Dr. Sylvia Schafmeister, Vice-President for Continuing Education and Interdisciplinary Health, Prof. Dr. Silvia Straub, Professor of the Faculty of Health Management and Sonja Jaumann, Research Associate, with Marc Löchner, Office Manager of the Health Regionplus of the Neu-Ulm district and Marc Engelhard, Foundation Director and Management of the Weißenhorn/ Neu-Ulm District Hospital Foundation.
At the Capital Congress, in addition to the "German Doctors' Forum" and the "German Nursing Congress", the "Management Congress Hospital Clinic Rehabilitation" could be visited. Interesting food for thought and impulses for the future health care system in Germany were provided. For example, the following lectures were offered: "Two years of the Generalistik: Are there any new findings? Effects on care for the elderly and sick: best practice", "Medicine and care. Together we are better. Teamwork as a resource", "Marketing and image of nursing. Victim role or shaper? It's in our hands.", "In the third year of the pandemic: Can we manage the transformation to a robust health system?".
At the events, around 4,000 decision-makers from politics, hospitals, the health care industry, the medical profession, medical research, nursing care and payers discussed the most urgent challenges in the health care system.
