Digitalization of the healthcare system

Recently, it has become increasingly clear how important a functioning healthcare system is for the care of the population. However, expansion and further development are very expensive, and it is also difficult to find suitable staff, regardless of funding. Conversely, the shortage of personnel leads to an increased workload and thus to a reduced attractiveness of professions in medicine and nursing.

Our questions are therefore: Can the use of digitalization in medicine and nursing make healthcare more effective and efficient? Is the use of artificial intelligence, computers and robots suitable for improving the quality of diagnosis and therapy with the same number of staff? Can modern digital process support increase the attractiveness of medical and nursing professions? What are the ethical and data protection challenges?
