What was your main motivation to go abroad?
I wanted to explore Belgium because it's close and I didn't know much about it. I was excited about learning its culture and history and gaining insights at the partner university.
Belgium is not just a second home; it's a starting point for exploring the world.
What were your biggest concerns?
I faced a big challenge finding a place to stay, but I didn't give up. Overcoming this made my experience stronger.
Would you recommend a stay abroad? Why?
Yes, especially in Belgium. It's easy to travel around Europe from there. The best part was the friendships I made.
Fun Fact
When you speak German, you can understand Dutch quite well, as the languages are very similar.
Were your expectations met?
My expectations were not just met but exceeded. Looking back, my time in Belgium was full of excitement, challenges, and amazing experiences. Belgium is not just a second home; it's a starting point for exploring the world.
Is there anything you would like to highlight about your experience abroad?
Belgium's public transportation is excellent, and it only takes 10 minutes by train to get to the airport. Another great thing was the international student network. We had events every week, and I made friends from different cultures.
