Guest lec­ture on AI in the phar­ma­ceut­ical in­dustry

At the beginning of April, Christian Hanisch, Project Manager for Industry 4.0 in the Pharma product area at Bosch Packaging Technology, visited HNU's Innovation Space as a guest speaker. The event was organized by Prof. Dr. Daniel Schallmo for the "Digital Transformation and Global Entrepreneurship" (DTE) Master's course and offered students an in-depth insight into the rapidly developing landscape of artificial intelligence (AI).

With a remarkable career, Dr. Christian Hanisch, early adopter of digital technologies, artificial intelligence and Industry 4.0 methods to drive business transformation and innovation. 

In his guest lecture on "AI Sensory Revolution in Parma and Beyond", Christian Hanisch offered valuable insights into the broad application of AI, highlighting its impact on various industries and its potential to increase competitiveness. Through practical examples, especially from the pharmaceutical industry, he illustrated the importance of AI-supported product inspections and their ability to optimize processes in manufacturing. He emphasized the current challenges in the pharmaceutical sector, especially the lack of integration of machines and the need for further developments to enable a smooth AI implementation. He strongly believes that AI can help simplify complexity in various processes and ultimately increase operational efficiency.

The lecture was very informative and sparked a lively discussion among the students. Christian Hanisch also gave valuable recommendations for future career paths of the DTE students by encouraging them to be flexible, think "outside the box" and prioritize networking.
