02.11.2023, University News :

With the aim of planning an entrepreneurship week and promoting exchange between Neu-Ulm University and two Belgian university partners, HNU's International Startup League (ISUL) project team visited Belgium on October 25 and 26.

Together with the École Pratique Des Hautes Études Commerciales (EPHEC) in Brussels and the UC Leuven-Limburg (UCLL), HNU is planning an Entrepreneurship Week for March 2024. At this event, which is funded by Erasmus+ and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the two Belgian universities will act as hosts. The HNU team, consisting of Verena Mattes, Sarah Leible, Prof. Dr. Daniel Schallmo and Prof. Dr. Jens Kolb, supported the two Belgian universities in planning the content on site.

In addition, the representatives of all universities exchanged ideas on the topics of student and teacher mobility. As a goal for 2024 and 2025, it was agreed that students from the three universities would be placed for internships in companies in the other region. Furthermore, the exchange of professors as guest lecturers will be further intensified.

Another important point was the planning of a joint course of study for the Master Digital Transformation and Global Entrepreneurship (M.Sc.) at HNU and the Bachelor After Bachelor program at UCLL, in which students will spend the first year in Belgium and the second year in Germany and will receive two degrees at the end.

The International Startup League is a project funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) to facilitate international cooperation between eleven partner universities in nine countries worldwide.
