Award-win­ning ju­nior en­gin­eer: HNU stu­dent honored for ex­cel­lent de­gree

Bavarian Science Minister Markus Blume on Wednesday honored Bavarian female graduates for their outstanding university degrees and doctorates in engineering. One of the five award winners is Jennifer Alina Zeh, who graduated at the top of her class from the cooperative degree program Information Management in Healthcare (B.Sc.) at Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences (HNU) and Ulm University of Technology (THU).

Each year, the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and the Arts awards five prizes for outstanding university degrees or doctorates to female engineering students at Bavarian universities. The prizes are endowed with 2,000 euros each. The awards are intended to honor the impressive achievements of female students in their field and at the same time encourage other women to study engineering.

Outstanding academic achievement at the interface of management, IT and medicine

Jennifer Alina Zeh is one of the five female award winners who received their awards in a ceremony at the Bavarian State Ministry on Wednesday. She graduated from the cooperative degree program in Information Management in Healthcare (opens in a new window)(B.Sc.) offered jointly by THU and HNU, graduating at the top of her class in 2021. In her bachelor thesis, which was supervised by Prof. Dr. Tim Pietzcker (THU) and Prof. Dr. Axel Focke (HNU), she dealt with the analysis and optimization of IT service management at the Bundeswehr Hospital in Ulm. Currently, Jennifer Alina Zeh is studying Digital Healthcare Management (opens in a new window) (M.A.) at HNU.
