HNU students develop communication concepts for Beurer

22.01.2025, Study:

Real practical project instead of fictitious case study: students on the International Corporate Communication and Media Management (ICCMM) Master's degree programme worked on a project with the Ulm-based company Beurer in the winter semester 2024/25. The aim was to work in small teams to develop communication concepts for an international change project at Beurer in the area of online shopping / e-commerce.

Students on the English-language Strategic International Corporate Communication course taught by Prof Dr Julia Kormann and Prof Dr Wilke Hammerschmidt worked on this project throughout the winter semester. At the beginning of the semester, Irina Wittmann, Teamlead Customer Experience at Beurer, presented the initial situation and the task to the students. During the semester, there were repeated exchanges with the Beurer team, including a company visit in December 2024. The students then developed concepts and approaches for change communication for the project. On 16 January 2025, they presented the results to Prof. Dr Julia Kormann and Prof. Dr Wilke Hammerschmidt as well as Irina Wittmann and HNU alumnus Arthur Sipple from Beurer.

Prof. Dr Wilke Hammerschmidt is pleased with the good project results and summarises: "The feedback from the students has been consistently positive so far, because it is of course much more motivating to work on a real practical project than to go through everything using fictitious examples."
