Bridge the Gap. Scientific work for digital natives

For students in undergraduate courses at universities of applied sciences, the topic of "scientific work" represents a major challenge, e.g. when preparing their first seminar paper. Their different educational paths result in a very heterogeneous information and media competence (digital literacy).
The aim is to build up competences for writing a scientific paper in students in the course of study "Information Management and Corporate Communication" by means of a blended learning-based compulsory module, so that the principles of research and writing can be practised step by step. Each of the phases "orientation", "research", "writing" and "defence" contains gamified online elements as well as face-to-face sessions (flipped classroom). Students should thus become Digital Residents in the world of scientific work and be optimally prepared for the upcoming seminar and Bachelor's thesis.
