An international team led by HNU Professor Dr. Daniel Schallmo has studied the drivers and success factors of digital entrepreneurship. The findings have flowed into a paper that has been published in the Journal of Small Business Management (category B in the VHB ranking).

The authors are Prof. Dr Daniel Schallmo, Tal Berman (University of Johannesburg, South Africa), David Stuckler (Università Bocconi, Italy), Sascha Kraus (Free University of Bolzano, Italy/University of Johannesburg).

The contribution entitled "Drivers and success factors of digital entrepreneurship: A systematic literature review and future research agenda" is dedicated to the success factors for digital entrepreneurship, which plays an increasingly important role in economic growth and development. A systematic literature review identified a total of 45 different drivers, including subjective and objective factors at the individual, organisational, regional and national levels, some of which are specific to the digital context. On this basis, the authors propose a multi-level conceptual framework with a focus on factors in the digital context.
