A comprehensive programme of information events with 20 online sessions and a fair in the foyer gave students and employees of University of Applied Sciences Neu-Ulm the opportunity to inform themselves about all aspects of studying abroad during International Week from 27 November to 1 December 2023 - from a semester abroad and the double degree programme to funding opportunities and scholarships within and outside Europe. A total of around 390 students and 10 employees attended the information events.
The highlight of the international theme week was the International Fair, which took place again this year for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic. In the foyer, international exchange students from 12 countries presented their countries and universities of origin and offered specialities from their home countries. "The offer was very well received by the students and we have the impression that a lot of exchange has already taken place and contacts have been made," reports Cornelia Häusler, Coordinator of Outgoing Students.
As part of the international fair, Vice President Prof Dr Elmar Steuer also awarded the DAAD prize (opens in a new window) to a Bulgarian full-time student at HNU. This prize honours outstanding academic achievements and commitment by international students.
