Conclusion of the discussion

The participants in the talk agreed that new approaches to strategic thinking and action are needed so that corporates and start-ups can work together to advance the economy, environment and society. Prof Dr Thomas Wunder explained: "Business is like a medicine that works for people but has side effects - for our planet. We need alternative treatment methods and holistic medicine or sustainable business models."

Strategy and sustainability toolbox

The book "Toolbox Strategy and Sustainability (opens in a new window)" by the Professor of Corporate Management at HNU sharpens situational awareness and provides strategic approaches and management methods for linking economic, ecological and social value creation. It presents a selection of proven, further developed and new strategy tools that form a logical overall context: Sustainable strategies are formulated on the basis of developments in the environment, concretised via new business models and implemented as part of the transformation.
