21.11.2023, University News :

Mental health was the topic at Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences (HNU) on November 10: presenter Caro Matzko read from her book "Size Egal - dein Selbstbewusstsein kann nicht groß genug sein". The reading kicked off the "Autumn Talks on Mental Health" series of events organized by the AOK, the Neu-Ulm District Health Regionplus and the Neu-Ulm Mental Health Self-Help Group (SeSeGe).

Caro Matzko, presenter, author and native of Ulm, was the focus of the evening and shared her personal story about eating disorders and burn-out with the audience. The presenter, who is known for her collaboration with Hannes Ringlstetter on Bavarian television, gave an open, honest and humorous talk. In her book, which she wrote together with a friend who is also affected, she deals with mental health issues.

Before the moving talk began, Marc Löchner from Gesundheitsregionplus des Landkreises Neu-Ulm, Michaela Kaiser from the Bavarian Chamber of Psychotherapists, Ottmar Pfanz-Sponagel from AOK Günzburg and Prof. Dr. Jens Kolb from Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences welcomed the audience and were delighted to have the opportunity to set an example for mental health together.

With the "Autumn Talks" series of events from November 10 to 28, 2023, the cooperation partners are responding to the need for information and advice on the topic of mental health.
