The HOCHSPRUNG Award, sponsored by the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and the Arts, honors activities and measures that promote startup dynamics and entrepreneurship culture at Bavarian universities. This year, the award, which was presented virtually on November 16, focused on "Female Entrepreneurship": Projects were sought that contribute to sensitizing, qualifying and supporting more female students and scientists for the topic of entrepreneurship. A total of 26 applications were submitted from all over Bavaria. One HNU project was chosen as one of the top 3 applications submitted: "Start-up Mentoring for Women"; a measure that promotes start-ups at all stages.
"Gründungsmentoring für Frauen": Support for potential female founders from all sectors
The mentoring addresses not only prospective female founders in academic fields, but also in non-academic fields (such as women in further education, women with a migration background or women in the family phase). The 3,000 euros in prize money that the project received for 3rd place in the HOCHSPRUNG Award will now be used for another round of start-up mentoring - this time with a focus on women after the family phase.
