Would you recommend a stay abroad? Why?

Absolutely! Studying abroad offers the chance to grow beyond yourself, experience other cultures, and build lifelong friendships. It was one of the best decisions of my life.

What did you learn from your stay abroad?

I learned to adapt to new environments and to be more open. I also came to appreciate the Hawaiian way of life, the “Aloha Spirit”, which is characterised by community, respect, and tranquility.

Fun Fact

Something that really surprised me in Hawaii was the police presence. As soon as one police car shows up, at least two more arrive within five minutes. Once there was a fight involving only two people – and yet nine police cars showed up!

Were your expectations met?

My expectations were not only met but far exceeded! I met so many incredible people and had unforgettable experiences.
