HNU students visit Teva: practical insights from the pharmaceutical industry

23.01.2025, Study:

How does a pharmaceutical company work? Some students from Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences (HNU) were given the answer to this question during an excursion: under the direction of Kathrin Gass, Teva GmbH opened its doors to students on the Business Administration in Healthcare (BGW) programme and showed them the processes of an international pharmaceutical company.

The participants got to know individual areas of the company and were given a tour of the site in the Danube Valley, where they also visited the production and logistics centre. Kathrin Gass, herself an HNU alumna and lecturer in the Faculty of Health Management, organised the excursion in her role as a senior employee at Teva.

Prof. Dr Patrick Da-Cruz, practice representative in the Business Administration in Healthcare degree programme, thanked Kathrin Gass for her commitment, which makes a valuable contribution to the application orientation at the faculty. "I am very pleased that our students can benefit from practice-orientated teaching content and that our lecturer Kathrin Gass has made this look behind the scenes possible".

Practical orientation at the Faculty of Health Management

Practical orientation is an essential component of the degree programmes at the Faculty of Health Management, which is ensured through various formats such as transfer projects, guest lecturers from practice or case studies. Excursions to companies and organisations in the healthcare sector are particularly popular with students.
