From March 02 - 06, 2020, a 17-member excursion group of the MBA program Digital Leadership and IT Management led by Professor Dr. Klaus Lang was at the international study week in South Africa, Cape Town at the partner university University of the Western Cape.

The international study week is a compulsory part of the MBA Digital Leadership and IT Management due to the international orientation of the program. In addition, this excursion is always a highlight of a special kind. It offers students a week-long insight into the culture, economy and working methods of another country, and thus an exclusive view of the world. This time the trip went again to Cape Town in South Africa.

The week started with a warm welcome and introduction by the representatives of the partner university University of the Western Cape in Cape Town, supplemented by a campus and nature tour in the afternoon.

In the following days, the introduction topics were illustrated in a very practical way with presentations by the companies RLabs, Sanlam, Seamonster and Woolworths. This interesting mix offered a look behind the scenes of very different companies and a deep insight into the economic system of South Africa and the daily work with its current projects.

The visit to the Table Mountain and a wine tasting with dinner formed the common end of the week.
