Go-to-mar­ket strategies for PERI

Prof. Alexander H. Kracklauer and the students welcomed Mr. Peter Rübel, Head of Sales Excellence, Mr. Pirmin Trepte, Head of Marketing and Sales Support, Mr. Sven Meißner, Head of Marketing Central Europe and Mr. Sascha Sommer, Head of Strategic Marketing, from PERI GmbH from Weissenhorn in the university castle in Illertissen last Friday.

The bachelor students from the "Strategic Market and Sales Management" major identified new target groups and worked out go-to-market strategies for PERI's DUO lightweight formwork in the past few weeks: from garden and landscaping contractors to DIY enthusiasts and the German Federal Agency for Technical Relief. Expert interviews and quantitative surveys were carried out to analyse and identify competitors and target groups. Personas were worked out, value propositions developed and a target group-specific value proposition formulated. In the next step the student groups worked on the following questions of the go-to-market strategy for their target group:

  • What to sell?
  • Where to sell - Touchpoint Management
  • How to sell?

So that at the end of the day, the gentlemen from PERI were delighted with the variety and the elaboration of the concepts. "It was a high quality and entertaining event with very good results that made people think. With these words, Mr. Meißner, who was in charge of the PERI concept seminar, rounded off the day at the university castle and thanked the participants with a joint dinner at Barfüßer in Neu-Ulm.
