Akademie für Angewandtes Unternehmertum (AEA-RE)

The aim of the project is to promote sustainable and production-oriented start-up companies in Kenya and to increase the practice and innovation orientation in teaching at Kenyatta University, Nairobi (KU). For this purpose, lecturers from the university departments of natural and engineering sciences as well as from other disciplines of the KU are trained by employees of the Africa Institute of the HNU and by business practitioners in topics such as practice-oriented teaching concepts, innovative and entrepreneurial thinking, design thinking and lean startup as well as market understanding. At the same time young entrepreneurs of KU are trained in market data collection, development of business models, logistics and distribution concepts as well as applications of renewable energies. Based on the concrete business ideas of the KU entrepreneurs, they will be coached by HNU students and lecturers and prepared for their appearance before industry representatives.
