Under the direction of Mr. Michael Häutle (teacher at the BSNU), around 50 trainees with the career goal of "forwarding and logistics services clerk" came to the HNU to get a detailed overview of innovative technologies in logistics and alternative routes to university admission.
Either
- with a "master's equivalent" training or
- with three years of professional experience and an entrance exam
these two degree courses are also open to those interested in logistics without a high school diploma:
- Business Administration (BWL) at the HNU and
- Industrial Engineering (WIN) at the HNU in cooperation with the THU
according to Silke Thierer, Head of Studies at the HNU. In both courses, students can specialize in the field of logistics.
The information event also offered an excursion into the world of logistics technologies. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Oliver Kunze provided the BSNU students with interesting facts about
- Ground drones (Automated Ground Vehicles AGVs) for home delivery, among other things,
- Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for automated stocktaking, among other things,
- digitally augmented glasses (augmented reality AR) for picking support, among other things
as well as
- the potential of 3D printing (additive manufacturing AM) for logistics, particularly in the areas of "digital spare parts warehouses" and "digital transportation with on-site production".
In addition, Prof. Dr. Oliver Kunze and laboratory operations manager Dr. Galiya Klinkova gave a joint tour of the HNU logistics laboratory, where participants were able to observe 3D printing live.
