Prof. Dr. Jens Kolb is new HNU Vice Pres­id­ent for Trans­fer and Con­tinu­ing Edu­ca­tion

The University Council has voted: On October 24, 2023, Prof. Dr. Jens Kolb was elected as the new Vice President for Transfer and Continuing Education at Neu-Ulm University (HNU) for the next three years. Since August 2022, he has been Professor of Sustainability, Digitization and Technology Management and Head of a part-time Bachelor's degree program at HNU.

Together with President Prof. Dr. Uta M. Feser, Vice President Prof. Dr. Julia Kormann, Vice President Prof. Dr. Elmar Steurer and Chancellor Marcus Dingel, Prof. Dr. Jens Kolb will be a member of the university management in the future, representing the areas of transfer and continuing education. "With Prof. Dr. Jens Kolb, we are gaining a valued colleague for the areas of continuing education and transfer. I am looking forward to new impulses and cooperation with him," said Prof. Dr. Uta M. Feser after the announcement of the election result.

Goals of the new vice president

"I am very much looking forward to the opportunity to work in this great team and with my colleagues at HNU to strengthen the connection between science, business, communities and civil society in transfer and to continue to make HNU continuing education a place of lifelong learning," said Prof. Dr. Jens Kolb after the election.

About the person

Prof. Dr. Jens Kolb is a professor in the field of digitization and technology management and head of the part-time bachelor's program "Management, Digitization and Sustainability (B.A.)" at the Faculty of Information Management. In addition, the computer scientist is coordinator for the study program with in-depth practice.
