What are the advantages of starting Postgraduate studies with a certificate course?

The certificate courses are aimed at those interested in learning practical knowledge in a specific subject area and in a compact form. Upon successful completion of the certificate course, you will receive a university certificate with ECTS.

The contents correspond to modules of the part-time MBA programmes, among others. The ECTS earned can be credited towards part-time Postgraduate studies, such as the MBA.

Participants without a high school diploma acquire the university entrance qualification with the successful completion of a certificate course and thus the opportunity to study in the Bachelor's degree programmes at the HNU.

How are the study programmes designed?

Based on the 20 years of experience in Postgraduate studies of the  Centre for Postgraduate and Professional Studies, we know about the double burden of participants in part-time studies. The needs of the students are taken into account in the concepts in a special way. According to the motto: As much presence as necessary, as much e-learning as possible.

Your advantages:

  • Compact attendance times reduce travel and accommodation costs
  • More flexibility through modular structure
  • High compatibility of Postgraduate studies with work and private life

In addition, we offer personal counselling, small courses and a family atmosphere where you enjoy the exchange with learners and teachers with practical experience.

Does the Centre for Postgraduate studies also offer courses for companies that want to train their staff on a topic?

Yes, we offer you tailor-made training programmes that specifically take into account the needs of companies.  Because corporate success has one basis: qualified employees. Read more here.

Why is the standard period of study for the part-time MBA programmes five semesters?

The MBA programmes are made up of individual modules with a total study time of five semesters. The lectures take place in semesters 1 to 4, and the Master's thesis is completed in the fifth semester. Our twenty years of experience in the postgraduate studies programme have shown that a shorter period of study is hardly possible for working students.

We offer further education of the quality and standard of a Bavarian state university. This postgraduate studies programme is optimally compatible with work and private life. In retrospect, graduates also describe the study content and duration as very well coordinated.

Why do I have to register for the certificate courses via the online application procedure?

ECTS are awarded for a successfully completed certificate course. Depending on the certificate course, these can also be credited to the MBA programmes. Admission and also the awarding of ECTS takes place via the HNU examination office. Therefore, an application for the certificate courses is necessary.
