30-mem­ber del­eg­a­tion from Thai­l­and vis­its HNU

Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences (HNU) welcomed 30 representatives from Srinakharinwirot University Thailand (SWU) for a training session on design thinking. Potential joint projects in the future and student exchanges between the two universities were also discussed.

On August 18, 2022, Prof. Dr. Uta M. Feser, President of HNU, Prof. Dr. Elmar Steurer, Vice President for Research Transfer and Internationalization and Verena Seitz, Head of the International Office of HNU, welcomed the guests from Bangkok.

Prof. Dr. Uta M. Feser welcomed the visitors from Thailand, led by the President, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Somchai Santiwatanakul of Srinakharinwirot University, to Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences.

The training entitled "Design Thinking for better leadership, collaboration and innovation" was the focus of the visit.  Prof. Dr. Elmar Steurer, Verena Mattes, research associate for the field of International Entrepreneurship, and Sarah Leible, staff member of the project International Startup League, led into the topic.

Lively German-Thai exchange

HNU and SWU maintain a close and lively university partnership. So far, 31 Thai students have come to HNU for a semester abroad, and seven HNU students have been guests at SWU in Thailand for a semester. Another 60 HNU students have attended summer school at SWU, and numerous faculty and administrators from both universities have participated in exchanges. In the upcoming winter semester, HNU welcomes six students from SWU and three HNU students will study in Bangkok for one semester.
