12.06.2024, Study :

Thrilling matches and intensive training sessions: The eSports boot camp "1337 Camp" took place from April 22 to 24, with 50 motivated players from the Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences (HNU) eSports group taking part. In addition to various eSports games and a board game evening, the Uniliga tournament also took place.

The HNUeSports team organized trading card games such as Magic and Yu-Gi-Oh!, a Mario Kart tournament, a Super Smash tournament and a cosy board game evening. The "Gerlach's Gute-Nacht Geschichten" (Gerlach's Good Night Stories), which were already well-known among the students, were also particularly popular, as they brought the day to a close.

Premiere of the Uniliga games

Another highlight was the first Uniliga matches of the HNU Valorant team "Recon", which were streamed live on Twitch. These matches not only provided exciting entertainment, but also showcased the team's skills and strategy.

Community and networking

The 1337 Camp not only offered players the opportunity to improve their skills, but above all a chance to network across semesters and make new friends.

Becoming part of the HNU eSports community

HNU students from all degree programs and semesters are invited to become part of HNU eSports and support the team, for example with social media activities. In addition, HNU offers elective courses in the field of eSports. HNUeSports can be found on Twitch (twitch.tv/hnuesports) and Instagram (@hnuesports).
