With their paper ‘Strategies for Digital Entrepreneurship Success: The Role of Digital Implementation and Dynamic Capabilities’, Tal Berman (Johannesburg Business School), Daniel Schallmo (HNU) and Sascha Kraus (Free University of Bozen/Bolzano; Johannesburg Business School) offer important insights into the success factors of digital ventures.
The paper illustrates, among other things, how digital start-ups challenge established market players and which strategic approaches they should pursue in order to be successful in the long term. A special focus is placed on the importance of continuous learning and a deep understanding of the mechanisms of digital implementation.
The study conducted by the authors makes an important contribution to the expanding field of digital entrepreneurship as it provides actionable strategies and uncovers the cognitive and behavioural mechanisms that support organisational success in the digital age.
