Springboard for start-ups: the Founders Space

04.04.2024, Transfer :

The Founders Space at Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences (HNU) is once again proving to be a conducive environment for innovative start-ups. Workonio, a company that took root in the Founders Space a year and a half ago, is a good example of how promising concepts can flourish there.

The Founders Space at HNU provides a supportive structure that enables start-ups to be accompanied from brainstorming to the implementation of their concepts. Whether at the beginning of the idea development or at the step towards a spin-off - the Founders Space not only offers resources and the network, but is also the ideal regional opportunity to put ideas into practice.

Workonio has developed into an up-and-coming software company in the HR sector. Dustin, co-founder of Workonio, emphasizes the importance of the Founders Space: "Here, the teams not only have access to a modern co-working area, meeting and office space, but also the direct exchange with other founders, which was invaluable for us. At Founders Space, we not only found inspiration, but also practical support to develop our innovative business model. Here we were able to use the necessary environment to concretize our vision and successfully bring our company to market."

The Founders Space not only provides the infrastructure, but also a network of like-minded people, mentors and industry experts. This combination enables start-ups like Workonio to not only develop their ideas, but also build a supportive community that paves the way to success.

Looking to the future

The Founders Space at HNU remains a supportive ecosystem for creative start-ups and an important institution for promoting innovation, entrepreneurship and sustainable growth. Workonio serves as an example of how successful companies can emerge from ideas and visions created in the Founders Space. The HNU focuses not only on imparting knowledge, but also on providing practical support to budding entrepreneurs in order to strengthen the regional business location in the long term.
