The aim of the AI Innovation Circle is to create synergies and generate sustainable value for the participating companies through interdisciplinary collaboration and expertise. As part of an application process, a large number of applications were received and 30 companies from various industries were selected by the professors of the Institute for Digital Transformation at HNU.
The program of the kick-off event on 29 February, moderated by Prof. Dr. Klaus Lang, included a round of introductions in which the company representatives presented their current and planned AI activities in a short pitch. This enabled a comparison between the companies. Keynote speeches by Matthias Holder from Uzin Utz, Michael Kuger from Mercedes Benz Tech Innovation and Andreas Giesa from Xebia Germany gave participants insights into specific generative AI use cases and approaches. Furthermore, HNU Vice President Prof. Dr. Jens Kolb presented the new continuing education courses offered by the Center for Continuing Education (ZfW) on the topic of AI.
The company representatives were enthusiastic about the format of the "AI Innovation Circle". Matthias Holder from Uzin Utz said: "The discussions and insights into AI activities were very valuable. I am delighted to be part of the AI Innovation Circle and look forward to the next events."
