The aim of the event, organised in cooperation with the Bavarian Representative Office for South America, was to present the technological potential of the Bavarian start-up landscape to companies from Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Peru and to open up international business opportunities for regional start-ups.
The participants were welcomed by the Bavarian State Secretary Roland Weigert, Pamela Valdivia as representative of the Bavarian Representative Office for South America and HNU President Prof. Dr. Uta M. Feser.
Afterwards, 12 Bavarian tech start-ups presented their IT solutions in three-minute pitches and answered questions from industry representatives. The thematic spectrum ranged from the real-time mobility platform to AI-based emotion recognition and innovative solutions for drinking water treatment.
Finally, the audience decided by live voting on the most successful pitch with the best IT solution for the South American market: The winner of the Bavarian Tech Demo Day was the Passau-based company ONE LOGIC, which offers a combination of app building platform and expert advice on data analysis.
ONE LOGIC will now be accompanied for three months free of charge in the Bavarian start-up accelerator WENGAN and - virtually or physically - received in Santiago de Chile. During this time, the start-up will receive support in the form of an intensive work programme to successfully master the market entry.
