From 2012 to 2016, Eva Treu studied the cooperative degree programme in Industrial Engineering and Management, which she completed with a Bachelor of Engineering. During her studies, she took part in BayernMentoring - a support programme in which experienced experts from the business world pass on practical tips for the professional future to female students - at HNU. Eva Treu had an industrial engineer from Gundelfingen at her side as a mentor for two semesters. She then became a junior mentor for first-year female students at HNU.
After completing her Master's degree, the industrial engineer specialising in logistics and renewable energies worked on various start-up projects. She also worked in this field as a research assistant at Biberach University of Applied Sciences until immediately before her election.
New tasks now await Eva Treu, who has been active in local politics in Neu-Ulm since 2020: as district administrator, she will shape the future of the district over the next six years.
"With Eva Treu, the district of Neu-Ulm is in the best hands: She stands for innovation, is well networked and has a wide range of commitments. HNU is looking forward to working with her in the future - in the region and for the region," said HNU President Prof Dr Uta M. Feser, congratulating her on her election. "I wish our District Administrator every success in her new role, a steady hand and always the courage to break new ground."
