Every year, the city magazine SpaZz presents the 111 most important people from business, politics, media, education, health, sports, social affairs and member organizations in its April issue. They are selected by a 14-member jury consisting of well-known personalities from the twin city, each of whom covers one of the following areas: "Administration & Politics", "Business & Digital", "Social Affairs & Sports", "Gastronomy & Services", "Media, Education & Culture" and "Medicine & Science".
Prof. Dr. Uta M. Feser has been President of Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences since 2006, in what is now her third term of office. From 2012 to 2020, she was a member of the board of directors of Hochschule Bayern e. v. (opens in a new window) (Voice of the Bavarian Universities of Applied Sciences) and shaped the Bavarian university landscape in the process. The SpaZz-Magazin writes about her: "President Feser has never stood still or even gone into reverse. Yet she has long since become a constant, ensuring the future of the location with her university and the numerous practice-oriented study courses". Her special commitment to the HNU and the region is honoured with fifth place.
Prof. Dr. Julia Kormann, Vice President for Studies and Teaching, Sustainability at the Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences (HNU), is more than a vice president: almost unanimously, she was voted onto this list by the jury. Even beyond her function as Vice President of the Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences, she has a broad field of activity. She is head of the Centre for Interdisciplinary, International and Committed Learning (ZiieL) and head of the Competence Centre Corporate Communications. She has been committed to the region for 10 years, including sustainability and the common good, and has thus achieved 80th place at the first attempt.
