Innovation Award Transfer 2024
Innovative collaborations between universities and businesses are integral to the Bavarian-Swabian identity. The Bavarian-Swabian Innovation Award Transfer 2024 showcases this wealth of innovation. In partnership with the Universities of Applied Sciences in Augsburg and Kempten, and their respective support associations, HNU honors outstanding achievements in knowledge transfer. On April 24, 2024, the Innovation Award Transfer was presented for the first time at the Vöhlinschloss University Center.

What's it about?
Outstanding, application- and society-oriented (e.g., socially, technologically, and/or economically relevant) transfer achievements by non-academic partners in cooperation with one of the universities in Augsburg, Kempten, and Neu-Ulm were honored. In total, three awards – one per university – were presented. The prize money, donated by the respective support associations, amounted to €5,000 each.
April 24, 2024 was dedicated to the theme of knowledge transfer at the Vöhlinschloss University Center in Illertissen: With approximately 50 participants, the most outstanding transfer achievements at the universities in Augsburg, Kempten, and Neu-Ulm were honored. At HNU, the IDT Open Lab transfer event format was awarded the Innovation Award Transfer 2024.
The Sponsors
The prize money at HNU is donated by The Sponsoring Association of Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences e.V. , which is particularly committed to knowledge and technology transfer at the university. Additionally, the city of Illertissen awards an Audience Prize, which can be voted on during the award ceremony through live voting.
