The theme of the conference - "People First: Constructing Digital Futures together" - focused on the need to combine technological progress with improving human life and inclusion. This was also the focus of the two conference presentations by the IDI team:
- "Balancing Risks and Opportunities in the Governance of Low Code Development Platforms": Luca Stegmann, Rebecca Berendorf (Wieland), Sina Zimmermann and Prof. Dr. Andy Weeger focused on Low Code Development Platforms (LPDP) - a form of application development for which no programming skills are required - and showed which mechanisms different organizations follow in the governance of LCDPs in order to make the best possible use of this tool for digital innovation. - "Anger and Sadness - Coping Strategies to Manage Negative User Interaction on Instagram": Maximilian Haug, Julia Reiter and Prof. Dr. Heiko Gewald dealt with negative emotions on the Instagram platform. They investigated the effects of emotions with high and low arousal - anger and sadness - and determined which coping mechanisms are associated with each. In addition, Maximilian Haug was session chair of the track "Social and Ethical Implications of ICT Use", and Prof. Dr. Heiko Gewald was track chair of the track "Health Information Technology and IS for Healthcare".
Awarded Best Associate Editor: Prof. Dr. Heinz-Theo Wagner
Another highlight for the IDI team: Prof. Dr. Heinz-Theo Wagner, Senior Research Fellow at the IDI, was named one of the conference's Best Associate Editors. The award recognizes his performance as a reviewer in the "Health Information Technology and IS for Healthcare" track.
