Prof Dr Heiko Ge­wald again ap­poin­ted hon­or­ary pro­fessor in Aus­tralia

Since 2019, Prof Dr Heiko Gewald - research professor at the Institute for Digital Innovation at Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences (HNU) - has been an honorary professor at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia, where he contributes to research activities in the field of digital health applications. This honorary title has now been renewed for a further two years.   

Together with Prof Andrew Gregoriou and Prof Yvonne Zurynski from the Australian Institute of Health Innovation, Prof Dr Heiko Gewald is exploring the question of how digital resources can be used by an ageing society and how innovative approaches in the form of prescription-enabled digital applications can find their way into patient care as part of the honorary professorship.

HNU and Macquarie University have long-standing research collaborations in the field of healthcare, including the joint doctoral programme with the Australian Institute of Health Innovation.
