Our international students are either studying on an exchange programme, doing a double degree or completing a degree programme at the HNU.
33 new international exchange students are spending one or two semesters with us. They come from our partner universities in Austria, China, Finland, Italy, Japan, Poland, Slovakia, Spain, South Korea, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand and Turkey. 7 students are studying on a double degree programme at the HNU. They started in mid-September with an orientation programme run by the International Office and an intensive German course. Together with their student buddies, they got to know Neu-Ulm and Ulm better and went on excursions to Stuttgart and Munich. Since the start of lectures, they have been integrated into our regular course programme and are mainly taking courses in English. In addition, a further 34 new exchange students will join us at a slightly later date to take part in short-term programmes.
205 new international degree-seeking students have started their studies in a Bachelor's or Master's programme at the HNU. They come from all over the world. More than 45 countries are represented. The International Office offers online orientation sessions for these students. Through a buddy programme, they can be supported by experienced HNU students during their first weeks in Germany.
We wish everyone a successful start!
